I must be biased as I think that the Knitting magazine is one of the best if not the best on the market, my husband every month hunts for the magazine (saying hunts) as sometimes has to go to different outlets to get the magazine, shows how popular it is. I have put it on my Christmas list and David is going to take out a subscription (no disappointment if David can’t get it).
Main reasons I like this particular knitting magazine is (1) it has goods variety of stylish garments, my two granddaughters who are 17 & 19 picked out chunky jumper and cardigan in a fine alpaca/wool both of which looked stunning when on, chunky good as I finished it quite quickly, (2) yarn reviews extremely helpful when making choice, sometimes have picked a yarn only to find colour palette limited so then I can quickly look through reviews for another suitable yarn, (3) I have arthritis always look for yarn that is machine washable reviews note this, saves time always keep a note, (4) if looking for a glitz yarn will go through current / reviews, helps with final choice, this time of year I like to knit something with a bit of sparkle, just some of the reasons way I love these magazine.
Stopped knitting for quite a while as the arthritis in my hands was extremely painful then when talking to my consultant I mentioned that I no longer was knitting as I was in a lot of pain and thought perhaps knitting was making it worse surprised and delighted when he said that knitting would help as not only doing something which I loved and which lifted my spirits it would exercise my fingers which it does. Will be honest do have bad days but overall found that knitting helps as when fingers are stiff the movement of knitting loosens them up when you have a finished garment what a sense of achievement. Opened other doors now go to a Thursday Knit & Natter group, great group of ladies, have a laugh and help each other if stuck on a pattern.
    Well that’s all bye
    Marie
