Pattern Update – Sea Lanes Socks in Sock Knitting for Beginners, with Knitting 259

It has been brought to our attention that the instructions for the Sea Lanes socks are a little confusing for some knitters because the stitch pattern runs across the beginning of the round, in order to make sure the pattern is centralised on the foot section. Please note: the instructions are correct. However, please find below alternative instructions to those printed on page 18 of the Sock Knitting For Beginners supplement with issue 259 of Knitting.

In the cuff section, after the rib is complete, work as foll:

Set-up row: K to last st, move beg of rnd marker to this point.

Now follow the instructions for the leg until the leg reaches the desired length, ending with rnd 2 or 4.

Then work as foll:

Remove marker, k1, replace marker. This is new beg of rnd.

Now continue working as set by the instructions.
