London’s biggest yarn fair returns in October, and we have five pairs of tickets to give away.

The Knitting & Stitching Show takes place in Alexandra Palace from Thursday October 11 to Sunday October 14. Exhibitions this year include Jenni Dutton’s The Dementia Darnings – a series of portraits woven in fine wool tracing the artist’s mother’s life and the story of ageing – and textile designer John Allen’s Spirit of Place, inspired by the ever-changing variety of British landscapes, seascapes and London scenes.

There will also be workshops, talks, demonstrations by sewing celebrities and textile artists and a dressmaking studio with classes for all levels, as well as drop-in knitting and crochet lessons from UK Hand Knitting volunteers at the Knitworking Station.
