A yarn to spin: in this issue we’ve dedicated lots of extra space to the amazing businesses (and sheep) behind the original patterns you can knit in these pages. Many of the designs in this issue come from small flocks run by independent businesses – including knitwear designer Natalie Smart, whose Small Flocks Yarns is named for the small flock of sheep (and some angora goat newcomers) she keeps in the countryside.
As always, there’s plenty more to read in this issue – including a round-up of the latest yarn launches for the autumn and winter season – but some of our usual features have taken a back seat to the extra yarn coverage and a bumper collection of patterns. But don’t worry, they’ll be back in the next issue. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy the yarns we have to spin, and the knits you can make with them!
