German sock yarn specialist Opal has released a collection of yarns inspired by the boldly coloured paintings of Austrian-born artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser.

Opal’s yarn collection includes eight self-patterning shades each named after the painting that inspired it, which is also featured on the label – including Regentag auf Liebe Wellen (Rainy Day on Loving Waves), Regen auf Regentag (Rain on a Rainy Day) and Kuss im Regen (Kiss in the Rain).

Each 100g ball includes 425m of yarn, enough for a pair of socks, and we have seven to give away courtesy of Viridian Distribution.
