Stitch Fest South West returns to the market town of Totnes in South Devon on November 2-3 for its fourth year of exciting woolly activities and events – and we have five pairs of tickets to give away.
The festival showcases some of the best independent makers, dyers, spinners and workshop teachers in the UK yarn industry. This year there is a new programme of talks, demonstrations and mini-workshops as well as the largest-ever programme of half-day workshops, with 20 to choose from and seven talks covering topics such as weaving, dyeing, spinning, knitting and running a small craft business.
“Crafting is as popular as ever in 2019 and yarn and fibre crafts are no exception,” says show organiser Saj Collyer. “In these modern times, people recognise more and more the wellbeing that can be gained from immersing oneself in creativity.
“Taking mindful time, slowing down and creating something gentle and analogue, with a focus on beauty and quality, is beneficial. Another plus is that we often find ourselves doing this with likeminded others, thereby offering a new community. This is another kickback against the solitary, screen-driven lives our modern society can create.”
To win one of five pairs of tickets to Stitch Fest, enter your details below. Deadline: October 16.
