The Knitting & Stitching Show at London’s Alexandra Palace – the UK’s biggest textile event – is set to take place on October 10-13, and we have five pairs of tickets to give away.
More than 30,000 visitors flock to Ally Pally each year for the event, which features workshops, galleries by contemporary textile artists and a showcase of the next generation of textile talent, as well as hundreds of stalls for all your crafting needs. Highlights this year include regular catwalk shows to introduce Rowan’s latest design concept Mode; Artists in Action, where artists demonstrate their techniques; and exhibitions by #Unfinished artist Sisse Fog Odgaard, needle felt artist Catherine Kaufmann, AKA Woolly Queen and That Embroidery Girl Georgina Bellamy.
Plus there will be the usual free craft demonstrations in the Creative Living Theatre, drop-in troubleshooting sessions with UK Hand Knitting sponsored by Stylecraft and a Prosecco bar, the perfect celebratory break from a day of browsing and shopping.
